The Living Spaces
Stainsborough Hall has been designed for groups to spend time together in comfort, with several generous living spaces throughout the house.
The spacious drawing room is a welcoming place to relax beside the open fire, while the separate TV room with its log-burning stove is perfect for cosy evenings, films or quieter moments away from the main group. There is also a pool room, giving guests another sociable space to enjoy during their stay.
Kitchen and Dining
The large kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering groups, with plenty of workspace, two ovens, fridge and freezer space, and everything needed to prepare meals for larger gatherings.
There is also a separate utility room with an additional oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer and extra fridge space, giving groups more room for food, drinks and practical storage during their stay.
The dining room comfortably seats all 20 guests, making shared meals one of the highlights of a stay at Stainsborough Hall. Whether you’re planning a relaxed breakfast, a family celebration meal or a special dinner with friends, the kitchen, utility and dining spaces make it easy for everyone to eat together.
Bedrooms
The Hall offers ten individually decorated bedrooms spread across the first and second floors. Every room has its own character, combining period charm with modern comfort to create relaxing spaces after a day exploring Derbyshire.
With accommodation for up to 20 guests, the bedrooms provide flexibility for families, groups of friends and multi-generational gatherings.
Bathrooms
Multiple bathrooms and shower rooms are located throughout the house, helping larger groups enjoy a comfortable and practical stay without long queues in the morning.
Gardens and Outdoor Spaces
Step outside to enjoy the private gardens and terrace, where guests can relax with a morning coffee, dine outdoors during the summer months or simply take in the peaceful surroundings of the Stainsborough Hall Estate.
The terrace provides plenty of outdoor seating, while the gardens offer space for children to play and adults to unwind.
Hot Tub
The traditional wood-fired hot tub is available as an optional extra and offers the perfect place to relax beneath the stars after a day walking in the Peak District or exploring nearby Carsington Water.
Tennis Court
Guests staying at Stainsborough Hall have exclusive use of the estate’s private tennis court throughout their stay. Whether you’re looking for a friendly family match, a competitive game with friends or simply a fun way to spend an afternoon, the court is a fantastic addition to your holiday.
Set within the grounds of the estate, the tennis court is just a short walk from the Hall and provides another opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. Please remember to bring your own tennis rackets and balls if you plan to play.

The Main House sleeps up to 20 guests and is booked as a single exclusive-use self-catering stay.
A 5% deposit secures your booking, with a further 25% due nine months before arrival and the remaining balance due three months before your stay.
